The Crystal 

​

'One of the world's most sustainable buildings' was constructed in March of 2011 and opened as a neo-futuristic events venue. 

​

It has been formally announced that it is to become the new City Hall in 2020. 

​

This move is expected to have an strong positive impact on the Docks local economy, much like the impact the last move had on the Tower Bridge local area in 2002.

ExCeL

​

First opened in 2000 and expanded in 2010, the exhibition and international convention centre covers 100 acres of the Custom House area of Newham. 

​

Currently being used as the NHS Nightingale centre, the site has provisions for 3,700 parking spaces and 60 bicycle racks.

Silvertown

​

The Britannia Village was the first phase of the area to be developed in the 1990's. 

​

The following phases were heavily disputed, leading to the next phase beginning in 2021 by the developer LendLease. 

​

This development will encompass the Millennium Mill as well as Silo D with the first phase providing around 1,000 homes.
