Both into the City with DLR and Crossrail as well as wider Europe through the Airport. | ExCel CentreThe ExCel exhibition has been heavily used over the years for all types of exhibitions, including the London Boat Show until 2019. |
Residential DevelopmentThe docks are not only witnessing commercial development. To feed these new jobs, large levels of residential development are being undertaken across the area. | London 2012The area witnessed a large amount of investment for the London 2012 Olympics that were held in nearby Stratford. The site is located in the historic London Docklands, which is found 7 miles east of the centre of London. It falls at the epicentre which at one point in its history was the largest port in the world. Its industrial history has given way to allow for redevelopment fit for the 21st century. With buildings such as The Crystal, Westfield Shopping Centre and the ExCel Centre being built. The redevelopment of the area will ensure that the history of the docks does is carried forward into the future.
